Various Scholarships

BNB has various student support programs, each shaped by the people and stories behind our community.

2.1 · Family Fund

Dagmawie Educational Support Fund

Initiated by his sisters, this fund focuses on supporting Dagmawie's relatives with their education. It has been running since 2023.

2.2 · Merit Scholarship

The GAP Scholarship

Established by BNB to honor three exceptional women whose lives and values shaped the founders of the organization:

  • G – Gladys: a mentor and role model to Isaac
  • A – Amiso: Isaac's biological mother
  • P – Prudensia: Prusevie's biological mother

Each semester, the best-performing girls across every section of every grade earn a free tuition scholarship, kept only by staying at the top of her class — otherwise it passes to her replacement. Twelve girls, one per grade, are awarded each year. Started in 2024, it continues to motivate girls to excel.

2.3 · Needs-Based Aid

Needy Students Support Program

Ensures that those who need help the most can access learning without barriers — including children of armed-force and police officers, children of parents affected by HIV/AIDS, and teachers and ordinary citizens working hard to educate their children.

Together with caring parents, BNB friends, and alumni, the program turns hardship into hope. For more than 10 years, BNB's founders have personally supported 7–10 needy students a year, and that continues today. All community members — individuals, businesses, organizations — are encouraged to get involved.

2.4 · Student-Led

Students-to-Student Support — Ariyob Student Unity

Formed by BNB students to support fellow students and their families facing financial hardship. Its Ge'ez name refers to a cluster of bright stars shining in darkness.

Over the past four years, Ariyob has mobilized donations from students, teachers, and the community to provide tuition, meals, clothing, sanitary products, and other essentials to seven students, some from families in poverty. One supported student scored 512 out of 600 on Ethiopia's 2026 national university entrance examination.
